Discover a community-driven initiative aimed at overcoming obstacles together. Join us in fostering a sense of belonging and safety through our free community resources, specifically designed to bridge the gap in social interactions from early adolescence to adulthood.
Social Groups for All Ages:
Our social groups cater to individuals aged 2 years and beyond, providing a warm and secure environment for all. Emphasizing the development of social skills, friendship building, and the art of group participation, these gatherings utilize a flexible, “no-pressure” hangout style format. Special interest groups are also available to cater to diverse preferences.
Evidence-Based Social Skills Training:
Experience the transformative power of our social skills courses, tailored to neurodiverse individuals across different age groups. The PEERS program (ages 13-17 & 18+) and the Youth Friendship Course (Ages 9-12) offer evidence-based training to enhance social skills. Participants learn the art of making and maintaining friendships, conflict resolution, and strategies to address bullying. These programs provide ample opportunities to practice newfound skills within a supportive peer environment.
Empowering Caregivers and Providers:
In addition to individual-focused initiatives, Behavior Bridges now extends its support to caregivers and providers. Our workshops and training sessions aim to equip them with tools to prevent mental and behavioral health crises within neurodiverse communities. Key topics covered include:
– Supporting and normalizing Neurodiversity
– Preventing and responding to challenging behaviors
– Setting up successful environments
Flexibility in Training Delivery:
At Behavior Bridges, we understand the importance of accessibility. Our training sessions can be conducted either in person or virtually, ensuring flexibility to meet diverse needs. To arrange a session, please reach out to us via phone or email.
